I am Mark Hemming, a C-Suite leader with a track record of transforming operations for global and domestic businesses in manufacturing, e-commerce and supply chain. From my executive career as COO for HelloFresh, COO for Eurocell PLC, Regional Director (and Statutory Director) for Amazon UK, I have an impressive record of simplifying complex challenges and helping businesses scale whist reducing cost to serve. Knowing how to integrate tech and when to build automation solutions is critical. But more than that, I have a reputation for leading in an ethical and engaging way that assists your business in reaching it's potential sustainably; customer and employee excellence at optimum cost. With a 1st class MEng in Manufacturing Engineering and 18 years experience globally in the Automotive Industry in my early career; I have both deep and broad experience to support your business. ​

I am now in a portfolio career where, through Advisory, Non-Exec, Board Chair Roles, and Fractional COO positions, I am able to help your business transform to the next stages of its life .....whatever your challenge.

In his executive career Mark delivered remarkable results in company turnaround, transformation, growth and operational design.
I joined the business as the company was in the post pandemic period which delivered huge growth, outstripping the capability of the operating model. I flew 55,000 miles to visit every corner of the business in 7 months and then with my team, developed a plan to rebuild the way the operations worked including (some of the 70 item list):

Standardising and automating KPIs used across the 12 countries we were present in

As COO for Eurocell, Mark was responsible for teams leading everything from product design through manufacturing, recycling, supply chain (fulfilment and middle and last mile) and customer care. In his time at Eurocell:

Developed the two recycling facilities in terms of best practice operational execution, integrating them from siloed acquisitions to become a strategic operational business unit

In his 12th week, Mark approached the board to support the build of a state of the art semi-automated warehouse, which would allow 2 x complexity and 2 x volume in the same footprint with economies of scale in cost to serve

The fulfilment design won a Supply Chain Innovation award against prestigious global competition in 2021

Improved customer quality and OTIF to world class levels
In his time at Amazon, Mark led half of the UK fulfilment footprint and was a statutory director of 'Amazon UK Services Limited' and was their UK alcohol licence holder. In his time at Amazon he was also their main UK media spokesperson, including interviews on Newsnight, Jeremy Vine, You and Yours and other significant UK media.
